PGS adheres to the principle of "crafting quality medicines with authentic ingredients" and advocates the concept of "treating cough through syndrome differentiation to ensure proper medication." Based on easily identifiable daily symptoms such as "presence or absence of phlegm," "phlegm color (yellow or white)," and "timing of cough," common coughs are classified into four major categories: wind-cold cough, wind-heat cough, lung-dryness cough, and lung-yin deficiency cough. Corresponding cough relief products have been developed for each type.
Wind-cold cough: Thin, white phlegm.
Wind-heat cough: Thick or yellow phlegm.
Lung-dryness cough: Dry cough or difficulty expectorating phlegm.
Lung-yin deficiency cough: Dry cough without phlegm.
Wind-heat cough: Thick or yellow phlegm.
